Kia Jam is the Founder and President of K. Jam Media. Over the past 25 years, he has participated in over $2 billion in global entertainment transactions and independently produced or financed more than 30 motion pictures.

He just completed principle photography on THE MARK starring Jessica Alba and Tom Hopper and will be shooting BARRACUDA starring Anthony Mackie in March of 2026. His most recent films, The Killer's Game, starring Dave Bautista and Sir Ben Kingsley, and Strangers: Chapter 1, with Strangers: Chapters 2 were recently released by Lionsgate and Strangers Chapter 3 is slated for theatrical release in 2026. Prior to that, Kia produced Not Without Hope starring Zachary Levi, and The Misfits, directed by Renny Harlin and starring Pierce Brosnan, Tim Roth, and Nick Cannon. The Misfits, shot entirely in Abu Dhabi, was released by Paramount Pictures.

Additional notable releases include The Postcard Killings starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Famke Janssen; City of Lies, directed by Brad Furman and starring Johnny Depp and Forest Whitaker; In the Heart of the Sea, directed by Ron Howard and starring Chris Hemsworth; and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez and starring Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Kia is also the executive producer of the upcoming television series Empress, a co-production with Starlight Media and the producer of Game of Thrones.

Before launching K. Jam Media, Kia was a principal founder and COO of Ascendant Pictures, an independent film production and finance company based in Beverly Hills. Ascendant, along with its subsidiary Rising Star, financed 18 films over five years with budgets exceeding $750 million. Kia served as a producer on all of Ascendant’s projects, including Lucky Number Slevin (starring Bruce Willis, Josh Hartnett, and Morgan Freeman) and The Big White (starring Robin Williams and Holly Hunter). He co-produced Ask the Dusk (starring Colin Farrell and Salma Hayek) with Tom Cruise and The Jacket (starring Adrien Brody and Keira Knightley) alongside George Clooney.

In 2006, Kia collaborated with Barrie Osborne (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Matrix) as an executive producer of the sci-fi action-adventure Outlander (starring Jim Caviezel and Ron Perlman). He also produced MGM’s comedy Who’s Your Caddy and the thriller Timber Falls. Prior to Ascendant, Kia served as President of an independent film production company in Santa Monica, California.

In 2002, he co-produced Juwanna Mann for Morgan Creek Pictures and Warner Bros. Among his other productions are Dungeons & Dragons with Joel Silver (The Matrix Trilogy, Sherlock Holmes) for New Line Cinema, starring Jeremy Irons and Marlon Wayans.

In 2016, Kia served as an official jury member at the Silk Road International Film Festival in Xi'an, China, where he also spoke at a Media Leadership Class at the China Film Group Corporation. His speaking engagements include appearances at prestigious institutions such as the Beijing Film Academy, USC, UCLA, Harvard, and other distinguished universities.

Before producing feature films, Kia worked at James Cameron's Digital Domain, contributing to over 60 television commercials, including a Clio Award-winning Jeep ad and David Fincher's Grammy Award-winning Rolling Stones music video Love Is Strong. Kia has also served as a consultant for numerous entertainment companies, including Relativity, Xinhua Media Entertainment, and Miramax Films. He played a key role in the $660 million acquisition of Miramax from The Walt Disney Company.

He graduated with a degree in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine, as a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. Kia is a member of the Producers Guild of America and is currently a on the board of the A-MARK Foundation. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Youth Foundation. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife Sarah and Indy the pup.
